1990

The Founding of Üniteks…

In its founding year, Üniteks achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving its first order from a major European ready-to-wear company.
1991

The First Design Collection

After launching its inaugural design collection with prominent German retailers, Üniteks quickly attracted orders from other major global brands.
1992

Organic Fabric Production

The production of organic fabrics commenced at Üniteks’ sister company, utilizing SKAL-certified cotton.
1993

Expanding to New European Brands

Focusing on embroidery and print, the design team enabled Üniteks to bring more prominent European brands into its portfolio.
1994

Oeko-Tex Certification

Oeko-Tex approval positioned Üniteks among the first Turkish companies to manufacture sustainable, eco-conscious clothing.
1995

Expanding Capacity

Following the move to a new 10,000 m² factory, Üniteks expanded its production capacity to 250,000 pieces per month.
1996

First Vertical Integration

Üniteks entered vertical integration, setting up its own dedicated knitting facility.
1997

Basic Line

Incorporating the latest technology, the Basic Line delivers superior quality t-shirts at competitive rates, now available to customers.
1999

ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification

Üniteks received ISO 9001 certification, reflecting its commitment to quality management standards.
2000

Expanding Portfolio with European Fashion Giants

Üniteks portfolio broadened with prominent European fashion giants, elevating monthly output to 600,000 items and annual revenue to 17 million dollars.
2001

Enhanced Vertical Integration

Through a strategic collaboration with a dyeing facility, Üniteks advanced its vertical integration, elevating annual revenue to 30 million USD.
2002

Üniteks Enters Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Companies

Üniteks, selected as the exclusive supplier for a world-famous sportswear company in the Aegean Region, entered Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Companies list, with revenue reaching 50 million dollars.
2003

R&D Investments

With a focus on innovation, Üniteks invested in advanced printing and embroidery machinery to expand its R&D capabilities and reinforce client partnerships.
2004

Expanding Horizons

Through the construction of an 8,000 m² warehouse, Üniteks optimized production logistics and centralized all departments. The total facility area grew to 23,000 m², with monthly output rising to 1.5 million units, consolidating its status among Turkey’s Top 500 industrial companies and ranking it among the Top 100 exporters.
2005

International Investments

With a strategic focus on global investments, Üniteks utilized the QIZ (Qualifying Industrial Zones)  framework to launch a new manufacturing facility in Egypt.
2007

SKAL Certification

Through SKAL Organic Certification, Üniteks reinforced its commitment to responsible production, achieving a monthly capacity of 2.3 million units and an annual revenue of 168 million USD.
2008

R&D Center Initiatives

In collaboration with TÜBİTAK and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, Üniteks launched an R&D project under the supervision of its design expertise, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and advanced textile solutions.
2009

Ongoing International Investments

The Egyptian production line was upgraded with knitting and dyeing integration, boosting Üniteks’ monthly capacity to 1 million units and enhancing its international operations.
2010

Integrated Design and Production

Through enhanced design capabilities, Üniteks achieved a milestone where 30% of its total revenue comes from proprietary collections, merging creativity with production excellence.
2011

First R&D Center in the Apparel Sector

Üniteks received certification from the Ministry of Industry as the first R&D Center in the Turkish ready-to-wear industry, demonstrating its pioneering role in research and development.
2014

Best Product Development Company Award

Selected as the “Best Product Development Company” among more than 400 worldwide suppliers by C&A, Üniteks demonstrated outstanding expertise in product design and development.
2015

First International Design Office

Üniteks established its first overseas design office in Spain, employing its own designers for the first time and expanding its global creative footprint.
2016

Newly Added Design Awards

Üniteks was honored by H&M with the “Global Fashion Innovation Center” and “Global Development Center” certifications, becoming one of the few suppliers worldwide to hold both distinctions, underscoring its leadership in design innovation and global development excellence.
2017

New International Design Offices

Üniteks extended its global design network with offices in Barcelona and London, complementing its La Coruña location to deliver design excellence from key fashion capitals.
2019

“Fashion” and “Sustainability” Awards

Acknowledged by H&M for excellence in both Fashion and Sustainability, Üniteks earned the prestigious “H&M Gold Supplier” award, coinciding with its entry into woven apparel production and international exports.
2020

Strengthening Market Presence

Üniteks began collaborating with RESERVED, the brand of Poland’s largest apparel manufacturer, LPP. Its headquarters in İzmir were renovated to reflect the highest sustainability standards in energy, water, and waste management. Üniteks became one of Turkey’s first companies to receive the COVID-19 Safe Production Certification. Additionally, new apparel production facilities in İzmir and Batman created employment opportunities for over 600 people, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and social responsibility.
2021

ERP Integration Across All Processes

An ERP system has been fully integrated across all operations to ensure more efficient and agile workflows and to optimize the utilization of resources.
2022

Apparel Export Leader

With a sales volume of 37 million units and revenue of 167 million USD, Üniteks has been recognized as the top exporter in the “Apparel & Ready-to-Wear” category, according to data released by the Aegean Exporters’ Association.
2023

Platinum Award at the “Stars of Export” Ceremony

At the “Stars of Export” awards, organized in 2023 by the Aegean Apparel and Ready-to-Wear Exporters’ Association to honor firms contributing to the region’s exports, Üniteks received the Platinum Award. With exports exceeding 185 million USD, the company ranked first in the apparel and ready-to-wear category. In the same year, Üniteks established its training platform, ÜniAkademi. All programs are delivered via an E-learning system, providing employees with flexible, time- and location-independent access to professional development opportunities.

Ranked 327th in the Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises
